Stefan Thomas is a Berlin-based audio engineer and founder of studio A berlin. With more than 20 years of experience in mixing, mastering, and music production, Stefan has established a reputation for delivering high-fidelity, emotionally resonant sound for electronic music artists and genre-crossing projects alike. His work is trusted by both emerging talents and internationally recognized artists, producers, and labels.
Originally trained in classical music, Stefan began playing trumpet and guitar at an early age before being shaped by punk, grunge, rock, and alternative music throughout his formative years. After moving to Berlin to study and earn a degree in Recording Arts, he developed a broad musical perspective through productions spanning jazz, pop, rock, electronic music, and techno. This diverse background continues to influence his approach to sound — combining musicality, technical precision, and a deep understanding of artistic identity.
